Book Blurb:
Stanley is almost fifty. He hates his job, has an overbearing mother, and is in a failed relationship.
Then he meets Asher, the man of his dreams, literally in his dreams.
Asher is young, captivating, and confident about his future – everything Stanley is not. So, Asher gives Stan a gift. The chance to be an extra five years younger each time they meet.
Some of their adventures are whimsical. A few are challenging. Others are totally surreal. All are designed to bring Stan closer to the moment his joyful childhood turned to tears.
But when they fall in love, Stan knows he can’t live in Asher’s dreamworld. Yet Stan is haunted by Asher’s invitation to “Slip into eternal sleep.”

Reviews:
…a multi-layer tale filled with suspense, sex, plot twists, more sex, and internal struggles. Each character is intentionally developed allowing for the plot twists to accurately reflect the emotional depth and supernatural pieces…
The narrator, Laurence Stirling Knott, gives a solid performance smoothly slipping into each character flawlessly and projecting an accurate emotional response.

The story has a depth that invites you to slow down and fully take in every detail, allowing its layers to gradually reveal themselves…
The narrator truly brought this story to life, pacing it thoughtfully and emphasising just the right moments. Their approach felt skilful and added a fun, engaging layer that kept each scene vivid and enjoyable.

The narrator’s tone and pacing perfectly compliment the story’s dark, eerie vibe, capturing every gasp, pause, and whisper with perfection.

The roller-coaster of emotions navigated while listening to this book is intense.

Laurence Stirling Knott, a new narrator to me was very good with his enthusiastic and dramatic narration. Recommended listen.

MEET THE NARRATOR

Growing up in the West Midlands of the United Kingdom, Laurence Stirling Knott comes from a line of brass musicians and was surrounded by music and media throughout his childhood.
At 16, Laurence enrolled into a Music Performance course at Stafford College. He performed in several bands, composed music, learnt how to use studios and Digital Audio Workstations and increased his knowledge of music theory and the music business. During and shortly after this time, he performed as a guitarist in the band Kymera, along with a few individual one off performances as a bass guitarist in other bands.
Upon graduating in 2018, Laurence enrolled into the British and Irish Modern Music Institute (BIMM), Birmingham, undertaking a Professional Musicianship course. With the help of one of his tutors, he also found a desire to act.
He is the voice of several characters in audio dramas, YouTube videos and video game modifications. Such characters include Egite, Alex, Chompers and the Slaver Captain in Gareth and the Lost Island, Harper in The Doctor Who Audio Dramas, Jeeves in the Halo: Combat Eclipsed Demo Beta and Carmine Falcone in Red&Blue Productions’ BATMAN: Red Lie [Part 2].
